When you start a sport as a child and never quit, you don’t necessarily become good at the discipline. However, the contacts and experiences stay with you forever. The game of chess and my chess club will follow me from childhood to retirement age. The chess community has always been there, and so has my love for the game.

I try to give back by teaching chess to children and youths at stovnersjakk.
